What To Include in a First Aid Kit

A first aid kit is an essential item for your commercial property in Northwest Ontario. Sadly, it's all too common for an emergency kit to be missing from offices and supply closets. If you haven't put together a safety kit or if you haven't made sure an existing kit is up to date, now is the time to make sure you're fully prepared for an emergency. 

First Aid List  

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has a complete list of items you need to create a basic kit as well as a complete kit. For example, a very basic first aid kit should contain 

• Adhesive bandages 
• Gauze pads multiple shapes and sizes 
• Gauze rolls in various widths 
• Triangular bandages 
• Supplies for cleaning wounds, such as disinfectants and swabs 
• Scissors 
• Tweezers 
• Medical tape 
• Medical gloves 
• Resuscitation equipment 
• Splints 
• Blanket 
• Directions for contacting emergency personnel
